Unlike previous years, the European Weightlifting Championship in Armenia was not successful for athletes from Albania.

Weightlifter Daniel Godelli failed in all three snatch attempts, with 150, 151, and 152 kg. He did not participate in the clean-and-jerk style, local media say.

Another Albanian athlete who participated in the competition is Kristi Ramadani but with a better performance.

In Battery B, Ramadani ranked ninth, registering 142 kg in snatch.

In the clean and jerk, he lifted 175 kg to rank eighth, with a total of 317 kg and finished in eighth place.

The highest result from the Albanian team was achieved by Erkand Qerimaj, ranking fifth in Europe in the snatch style.

In the clean and jerk style, he registered 168 kg, ranking 11th, and with 318 kg, he finished in tenth place overall.
