The former director of the police, Shemsi Prençi, has commented on the accusations against the former head of the LSI, Monika Kryemadhi, in relation to Russian funding.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, he said that so far there are no charges against Kryemadhi while adding that the MP of the Freedom Party is being attacked by the government since the latter cannot justify the affair with the incinerators to the Albanians.
"We have to consider the moment that happens. The attack is carried out by political soldiers, we do not have a concrete denunciation. We have an interception of the media which at different times are on the side of one party or another. We do not have a complaint and denunciation. Some say that the payment of the money was made three years after this bank was closed. We have a cacophony of media at the disposal of politics. Kryemadhi is the main protagonist who has denounced the biggest corruption scandal of the Albanian government...
There is also a decision that the Albanian government has lost the trial with Becchetti. Faced with these facts, the Albanian people are predisposed to believe the inventions made by a deputy who is the protagonist of the mass corruption denunciation, than to believe that these Russian oligarchs have paid 5 thousand or 500 thousand rubles. Albanians must deal with 500 million euros of incinerators or deal with 15 thousand rubles" - he emphasized.
Prençi said, among other things, that SPAK should also deal with incinerators and Russian rubles. Prençi issued a strong statement saying that Russian and Albanian oligarchs are shareholders in the army's properties in Albania.
