The police in Durrës announced that they had hit 2 criminal groups that were distributing narcotics in the area of Durrës and Sukth, arresting 8 people.
The arrested are suspected of distributing narcotics in establishments adapted for its consumption, as well as in nightlife venues in Durrës.
Over the course of 6 months, the authorities had gathered evidence of their activities and in the coded operation "Foremost", they arrested 4 people who were distributing drugs in the Sukth area. Four other people were arrested during the "Last deal" operation, who are accused of distributing cocaine in the city of Durrës.
In the police statement distributed to the media, it is stated that the accused operated as criminal groups and a number of evidence were seized, including 1 package of cocaine weighing 130 grams, 40 doses of cocaine, 3 vehicles, 96,000 lek, other amounts in euros, francs, and pounds, a weighing scale, handcuffs, and cell phones.
The police said they had arrested a 48-year-old with the initials G.M, a 43-year-old, as well as two young people aged 17 and 24.
"From proactive investigations, it has been found that citizen G.M had the role of a cocaine supplier for these citizens, who, after buying it, distributed it in cooperation with each other in the Sukth and Durrës areas, as well as in nightclubs in the city of Durrës," the statement said.
