Monsignor Arjan Dodaj |
On the eve of Catholic Easter, Archbishop Arjan Dodaj has shared his message and congratulations to all believers.
In the focus of his speech, he put the revival of hope for Albania.
"May Albania, with the resurrection of Christ, have the strength to overcome the demographic winter, not only to face emigration but also the low number of births", said Monsignor Dodaj to local media.
Noting that Easter is the force of love that gives hope to everyone, Monsignor Arjan Dodaj asked for more support for young people.
"Let our country start again from the family, supporting young people who want to create a family, through the hope of a home, a job that is paid with dignity, and for children who have the right to come to life and to be valued in their formation education, regardless of the social status they come from", he said.
While it must bee said that same as in the Vatican, the Albanian Catholic Church organizes for the first time the Procession of the "Way of the Cross", the experience of Christ's Calvary of His 14 Stations, in the surroundings of "Mother Teresa" Square.
The procession will be led and celebrated by the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Diocese of Tirana-Durre, His Excellency Monsignor Arjan Dodaj, together with the Ambassador of the Holy See of the Vatican in Albania, His Eminence Lugi Bonazzi.
Monsignor Arjan Dodaj told Neës24 the meaning of the rite and explained the religious procedures that are followed in this case.
" As the Christian tradition loves, we also gather together in this square to experience the last moments of Jesus' life, his way with the cross and the sign. We will go through 14 stops where we experience different moments of His Passion.
In them we identify the progress of our life, all humanity is crushed by the weight of the cross.
Today, man is defeated in many aspects such as war and economic crises.
The Colosseum is the emblem of this rite, where the Popes from 19750 wanted to make this place the center of martyrdom for the first Christians, where they were thrown to wild animals when they did not abandon their religion and embrace the pagan religion of the emperors.
The Colosseum is the place of persecution and martyrdom of Christians around the world," said Elder Dodaj.
