Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selim, and Jakup Krasniqi, all former political and military leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, are on trial in The Hague for war crimes.

The director of the court, Charles Smith, said that tomorrow the preliminary will go on with the initial assertions of the legal advisors of the charged.

"We conclude the public session today. Tomorrow, April 4, at 9:00 a.m., we will meet to continue with the Defense's opening statements. "We begin with Thaci's protection," Smith stated.

The opening statement was due today from the prosecution within five hours. In it, there were numerous allegations of war wrongdoings and violations against humankind against previous KLA pioneers.

While the trial for the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army began in The Hague, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that signatures have been gathered in the Assembly of the Council of Europe for the motion for a new resolution for Kosovo.

According to the Prime Minister, in the resolution of 2011, accusations without facts were raised against the KLA for the trafficking of human organs. "The path of Justice for Kosovo, the blood shed for freedom, the martyrs of the KLA and its heroes alive today in The Hague, will be long, painful, even insulting to the core, but Justice will triumph, because there is no force in the world to brand a liberation war as criminal", Rama emphasizes in his post.
