Umar Nieto, an American who embraced Islam and came to live in Albania, shared his life story on Real People Euronews Albania.

He recounted the violence he experienced as a child from other kids, as well as the racism he faced in Hawaiian schools because he was white.

Nieto also showed his tattoos, including the portrait of his grandfather Juan Jose Nieto, who was once the president of Colombia.

Umar said he never met his great-grandfather and couldn't say whether he was a good person or not.

"This is my great-grandfather, he was once the president of Colombia. We have the same surname, his name is Juan Jose Nieto. He was the president of Colombia and was a Mason when he was young, so I don't know how he could have been as a person. There were also criminals and the military and things like that," he said.
Umar Nieto grew up in Hawaii amidst the bullying and racism experienced there, but decided to leave the violence and debauchery to convert to Islam.

Today he goes to the mosque, makes the symbol of the eagle with his hands and among the 200 tattoos on his body, there is also the name of the street "Ali Demi", where he lived during his visits to Albania.

"I have 200 tattoos all over my body. The most difficult has been on the forehead and ribs. I have my birthday in South Asian language on my forehead. I lived in Alin Demi. I also have the street "Ali Demi" tattoo," he said.
