Sindi Manushi first mayor of Italy of Albanian origin in Pieve di Cadore

 Sindi Manushi is the new mayor of Pieve di Cadore, a small town in the province of Belluno in Italy.

She is a 31-year-old lawyer who emigrated in Italy 22 years ago, Sindi Manushi, the first mayor of Italy of Albanian origin. Since yesterday evening she has been at the helm of the municipality of Pieve di Cadore, in the province of Belluno, the birthplace of the Renaissance painter Titian. The young woman was the only candidate, with the 'Pieve Futura' list, and she therefore collected 100% of the votes, 1,365 votes. Here too the turnout was low, just 48.31% (53.77% in the previous administrations) but in the smaller municipalities, a simple majority is enough for the election of the mayor: and she obtained the quorum.


Civil lawyer, who arrived in Italy with her family in May 22 years ago, she says about herself on social media: "In recent years you have never found me at the bar complaining about potholes, waste, the mayor, the majority, the opposition. You haven't even seen me throw digs on social media, crucify the administrators, exploit the situation in the country for a few likes ".
