| Police in the valley of Valbona |
Two foreign tourists have died while exploring in Valbona. It is reported that they fell due to the steep terrain and ended up in a ravine.
According to official sources, the two tourists identified by the initials B.M from Belgium and J.B from France have lost their lives. Their lifeless bodies were found in a place called "Qafë Valbonë".
Due to the rugged terrain and weather conditions, even the helicopter could not land where the lifeless bodies were found. As a result, to enable the retrieval of the lifeless bodies, local police and border police services, as well as the alpine team, are collaborating with the Civil Emergency and Ministry of Defense.
"After the notification that two foreign tourists exploring the Valbona area had fallen due to the rugged terrain and had fallen into the ravine, the services of the Tropoja Police Commissariat, the local Directorate and Border Police, along with the medical team, immediately headed to the place where the two tourists had fallen.
Despite the very difficult terrain and bad weather with fog and snow, the police services, after much searching, managed to find the lifeless bodies of the two tourists, Belgian citizen B.M. and French citizen J.B., in a place called "Qafë Valbonë".
The alpine team of FNSh Shkodër was immediately dispatched to assist the police services since, due to the very difficult terrain and bad weather, police personnel at the scene found it impossible to retrieve the bodies from the ravine. Also, due to the bad weather, even the helicopter could not land where the lifeless bodies were found.
To enable the retrieval of the lifeless bodies, local police and border police services, as well as the alpine team, are collaborating with the Civil Emergency and Ministry of Defense.
