Three employees of the Municipality of Shkodra have been arrested by the Shkodra Police after being caught transporting 50 bags of food in a van intended for distribution to citizens for electoral benefits.
According to the police, the arrested individuals are Ergys Ivziku, Director of the Economic-Research Directorate of Shkodra Municipality; Petrit Dyli, Technician of Support Services in the Economic-Research Directorate of Shkodra Municipality; and Mhill Volaj, Finance Specialist in the Economic-Research Directorate of Shkodra Municipality.

Meanwhile, the procurer of the food packages, Arvid Bushati, who holds the position of Director of the Water-Supply-Sewerage Directorate of Shkodra Municipality, is wanted in connection with this case.
As physical evidence, 50 bags of food and the vehicle used for transportation were seized.
"They were caught in the act while transporting 50 bags of food in a van intended for distribution to citizens for electoral benefits. Three individuals (employees of Shkodra Municipality) are taken into custody.
The arrested individuals are the Director of the Economic-Research Directorate of Shkodra Municipality, the Technician of Support Services in the Economic-Research Directorate of Shkodra Municipality, and the Finance Specialist in the Economic-Research Directorate of Shkodra Municipality.
The procurer of the food packages, who holds the position of Director of the Water-Supply-Sewerage Directorate of Shkodra Municipality, is wanted.

The investigative structures of the Shkodra Police, in close collaboration with the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office, have continued the in-depth investigative actions regarding the case that was discovered yesterday afternoon in the western ring of Shkodra city. Based on intelligence information and as a result of territorial patrols aimed at preventing and combating electoral crimes, the police accompanied three employees of Shkodra Municipality who were transporting 50 food packages in a van to the Local Police Directorate of Shkodra.
Upon the completion of procedural actions for this case, the following individuals were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of "Active Corruption in Elections," committed in collaboration:
E. I., 31 years old, Director of the Economic-Research Directorate of Shkodra Municipality;
P. D., 49 years old, Technician of Support Services in the Economic-Research Directorate of Shkodra Municipality;
M. V., 63 years old, Finance Specialist in the Economic-Research Directorate of Shkodra Municipality.
Furthermore, through the in-depth investigative actions related to this case, the identification of the individual who ordered the food packages was made possible. Specifically, the individual A. B., 33 years old, Director of the Water-Supply-Sewerage Directorate of Shkodra Municipality, was declared wanted. Efforts to apprehend him are ongoing.
The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra for further actions," stated the police notification.
