Two internationally wanted individuals have been captured in Greece and Serbia and extradited to Albania.

The extradited individual from Greece is accused of being a member of a criminal group involved in trafficking narcotics, while the extradited individual from Serbia has been sentenced to 3 years in prison for two separate criminal offenses, local media say.

"As a result of cooperation with Interpol Athens, Albanian citizen K.R., 30 years old, was extradited from Greece to Albania. This individual was wanted internationally by Interpol Tirana after the First Instance Serious Crimes Court in Tirana, in 2019, issued an "Arrest in Prison" order for criminal offenses including "Trafficking of Narcotics," "Organized Criminal Group," and "Committing Criminal Offenses by a Criminal Organization and Organized Criminal Group." K.R. was part of a criminal group involved in international narcotics trafficking.

As a result of cooperation with Interpol Belgrade, Albanian citizen Almario Vojović, 29 years old, was extradited from Serbia to Albania. This individual was wanted internationally by Interpol Tirana after the Tirana District Court sentenced him to 2 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Aiding in the Illegal Crossing of Borders" and an additional 1 year in prison for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized Possession of Cold Weapons." In 2018, Vojović harbored foreign nationals in his residence and transported them across the border for payment, to help them cross illegally. Additionally, he carried a metal knuckle (a type of brass knuckles) classified as a cold weapon without proper authorization in public areas," according to the Interpol Tirana statement.
