The Albania-Moldova match is expected to take place tomorrow, on June 17th, at Air Albania Stadium. This is a highly important match for us as it counts for the qualifiers of Euro 2024.
The State Police has published a plan of measures that will be taken to ensure order and security before, during, and after the international football match between the teams of Albania and Moldova, which will be held on June 17th, 2023, at 20:45, at "Air Albania" stadium.
To facilitate the smooth running of this event and to ease the traffic flow in the city of Tirana on June 17th, 2023, from 16:00 until the end of the match, the State Police, in cooperation with the Municipality of Tirana, will apply restrictions on vehicle circulation on several road axes near the stadium.
The following roads will be blocked:
"Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard, from the Presidency intersection to the stadium;
"Papa Gjon Pali II" Street;
"Dervish Hima" Street, from the US Embassy to the stadium;
"Asim Zeneli" Street, from the US Embassy to the stadium;
"Themistokli Gërmenji" Street;
"Ismail Qemali" Street, from the high school intersection to the stadium;
"Mustafa Matohiti" Street, from "Kosova" School to the stadium;
"Jul Variboba" Street, from the post office to the stadium;
"Gjergj Filipi" Street;
"Lekë Dukagjini" Street, from the former Republican Guard to the stadium;
"Avdyl Frashëri" Street, from the University Bookstore intersection to the stadium.
In accordance with the implementation of the plan, the State Police personnel will exercise strict control over the fans before entering the stadium, with the aim of preventing the entry of banners with racist content, fireworks, firecrackers, pyrotechnic materials, and other dangerous items that pose a risk to the lives and health of the participants.
The State Police requests the understanding and cooperation of all citizens in implementing the rules of entry and stay in the stadium, as well as respecting the restrictive measures for circulation, in order to ensure the smooth running of this event.
