Albanian Weightlifter Kreshnik Leka champion in the European Masters Games

 Albanian weightlifter Kreshnik Leka has been declared champion in the European Masters Games.

Leka represented Albania in this important competition that is taking place in Finland, local media say.

Kreshnik Leka, who is also the president of the "Albanian Weightlifting Masters" Association, enjoys a very good physical shape and before the departure he intended to return with a gold medal.

In the previous edition held in Turin in 2019, where there were over 7,500 athletes from all over the world, Kreshnik Leka received a gold medal in weightlifting.

In total, Leka, who is also the director of KS Teuta, has won 45 international medals in Masters weightlifting competitions.

Gold medal in the European Master "Torino 2019" and the Mediterranean Championship "Cyprus 2019".

Also a silver medal in the Mediterranean Championship "Athens 2022", 1 bronze in the European "Budapest 2018" and first place in snatch in the European "Warsaw 2022".

The European Master Games takes place once every 4 years. This will be the fifth edition to be organized and will be contested in 29 sports by athletes over 35 years old at the professional or amateur level.

Leka will also participate in the World Masters, only for weightlifting, which will take place in August in Krakow, Poland.
