Amanda Dedej from the village of Dushk i Lushnja is the 11-year-old who practices karate and has won 27 gold medals.

She received her first at the age of 8, while recently she was declared champion of the Balkans. She qualifies this as the biggest award she has won so far and wears the medal around her neck.

"I took the first place by doing 4 matches, winning against Serbian, Slovenian, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Turkish athletes. I felt very happy", said Amanda.

She is still very young, but her sacrifices for karate exceed the limits.

"I train 6 hours a day and I have 27 medals so far. I started when I was 4 years old and I dream of becoming a world champion in the future", said Amanda.

The results of Amanda Dedej, but also the spread of the sport of karate in Dushk of Lushnja is to the credit of coach Lirim Dedej, also the coach of the national team. Children between the ages of 4 and 14 from several cities in Albania train in this gym.
