The mayor of the municipality of Presheva, Shqiprim Arifi, has made a post on his social network where he writes that he has been put on trial by the Serbian court for placing the Albanian flag in public spaces, local media
say.
Arifi says that the invitation proves even more the violations and discrimination that Serbia does to the Albanians of the Valley.
"Today I received an invitation to appear in the court of Serbia, on the grounds that we violated the laws of this country due to the fact of placing the Albanian national flag in a public space. This invitation proves even more the violations and discrimination that Serbia does to the Albanians of the Valley, but we will always pay for the flag", writes Arifi.
