Viktor Orban in Tirana: Hungary is Albania's advocate

Viktor Orban and Edi Rama in Albania, Tirana
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban visited Albania today, where he was received with high honors by his Albanian counterpart Edi Rama.

The latter, in a press conference, emphasized that Hungary has been one of the most vocal advocates of the Western Balkans in the EU and one of the most progressive forces in relation to EU expansion.

"The visit of the prime minister of Hungary to Tirana is the visit of an old and steadfast friend of Albanians at all times. We have entered a new phase of friendly relations between Albania and Hungary. Hungary is one of the most vocal advocates of the Western Balkans in the EU and one of the most progressive forces in relation to EU enlargement. Hungary has continued to unconditionally defend the integration process of Albania and BP in the EU. This support has been concretized with expertise, made available in our government. We share the same opinion of Hungary for the integration of BP as soon as possible. I feel good when I hear from Hungary that the EU needs the Western Balkans, just as BP needs the EU. It is important that this voice, this argument is heard without hesitation by all member states. I am grateful that Orban is the main driver of Hungarian investments in Albania. We have talked about bringing more expertise from Hungary and I hope very much in tourism as well" - said Rama.
