Former NATO commander General Wesley Clark, in a conversation with the editor on international relations for the Albanian newspaper Le Canton27.ch, said in Pristina, "The Republic of Kosovo needs to strengthen its sovereignty and control the north as an integral part of the country. Dialogue should be given priority and continue between Kosovo and Serbia for the benefit of the citizens, in favor of peace and stability in the region."
"I am proud of the freedom of the people of Kosovo, whom we liberated from the brutal Serbian regime!"
In his recent interview for the Swiss-Albanian newspaper Le Canton27.ch, Clark said, "I am pleased to see changes every time I come here. This time I see more changes, where the Government of Kosovo is making efforts to consolidate the statehood of Kosovo through reforms, especially in the justice system and in the fight against organized crime, aiming to establish the rule of law."
According to General Clark, the issue of license plates in Kosovo, including illegal ones in the Republic of Kosovo, is a good example of strengthening sovereignty.
"The situation between Kosovo and Serbia is different. Kosovo must strengthen its sovereignty in all its parts. We have a great ambassador in Belgrade, Christopher Hill, who knows the region and the situation well. He has previously acted in the region. He is in the right place at the right time," added Clark.
According to the former NATO commander, General Wesley Clark, knowing the capabilities of the Atlantic-European Alliance, there is no room or possibility for a conflict in Kosovo or the region because experience has shown that wars bring more harm than good.
