 Albiona Ajeti is a 23-year-old Albanian living in Canada who started developing games for the Apple and Google Play app stores five years ago.

She grew up in the city of Ferizaj in Kosovo and immigrated with her family to the less-populated province of Prince Edward Island (PEI) in Eastern Canada in 2012. Albiona graduated from the Faculty of Global Business and Digital Arts at the University of Waterloo.

Recently, she created two games for the global giants Apple and Google Play, named "Balkan Hero" and "Flaming Target," about which she speaks passionately to  Diaspora Shqiptare."

"Balkan Hero is a game that I created with enthusiasm and passion. I felt the need to showcase Albanian heritage and culture in an interactive and entertaining way. Utilizing my skills in game development and technology, I have created a unique Balkan environment and exciting adventures that differentiate Balkan Hero from traditional games. Players take on the role of a hero from the Balkans, dressed in traditional Albanian clothing, and journey through beautiful places in the region to face challenging and thrilling adventures while avoiding various obstacles and aiming to activate interactive bonuses during the game. My goal as the developer of this app is to offer a unique experience and inspire players to explore and enjoy the beauty and history of this marvelous region," she says. Then, she shares that "Flaming Target" is her newest and favorite game. "With its unique gameplay, captivating challenges, and the most complex programming I've done so far, Flaming Target has become my dearest project. The idea for this game arose from my desire to create an entertaining and stimulating challenge for players. In this game, players must shoot the ball and hit a moving target. As they advance through the levels, new obstacles will appear, adding more challenge and excitement. My aim is to provide a fun and satisfying experience for players, challenging them to achieve high scores and prove their shooting skills. To code the game 'Flaming Target,' I used programming languages and physics engine technologies to implement realistic movements and collisions of objects. This involved game architecture design, object creation, and the implementation of algorithms for the trajectories of the ball and detecting collisions. This game is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in all regions worldwide."
