Durrës Port |
During the last week of July and the month of August, the highest influx of immigrants and tourists coming to our country is expected through the port of Durrës. On average, more than 7,000 citizens arrive daily.
Due to this high influx, Captain of the port, Taulant Allka, says that bookings are numerous from travelers, and ferries will make two trips a day.
He explains that from Monday to Wednesday, there will be three ferries disembarking passengers at the port of Durrës, while from Thursday to Sunday, there will be five ferries due to the peak of movements, bringing an average of 4,000 vehicles per day.
To cope with the high number of passengers, Allka reveals that 32 counters for document checks have been opened, with 20 of them dedicated exclusively to vehicles.
To avoid long queues at the captaincy's side, a schedule for ferry arrivals at the docks has been organized to prevent congestion and chaos during the high influx.
