According to a Facebook post by Prime Minister Edi Rama, the famous "Explorer of the Seas Cruise" with 2,700 tourists from around the world on board has arrived in Saranda.

This is the first time that this cruise ship, which operates under the direction of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, has stopped on the Albanian coast.

"2,700 tourists from around the world arrive in Saranda with the famous 'Explorer of the Seas Cruise,' presenting themselves for the first time with the postcard of the Albanian coast, which this summer is welcoming record numbers of visitors," writes Rama alongside a video accompanying the post.

As for the "Explorer of the Seas," its construction was completed in 2000 and has a capacity of 3,000 passengers.

At the time of its first departure at sea, the Explorer of the Seas had a tonnage of 137,308 GT, surpassing that of its sister ship, the Voyager of the Seas, making it the largest passenger ship in the world at that time, until the record was broken in 2015.
