For the first time a book on Ismail Qemali as the leader of the Albanian Nation

 

 Apart from the created myth, little is known and little is said about the true and extraordinary leadership abilities of Ismail Qemal Vlora. Ismail Qemal Vlora distinguished himself throughout his life as an excellent leader. He was a just and honest man who believed in what he preached and in what he did.

He was patient, persistent, and resilient. He sought to convince and motivate others rather than force them towards achieving common goals. He acted at the right time and with his leadership style, he managed to establish a state.

These and other qualities of Ismail Qemal are taken up in his book "The Founder - The Leadership of Ismail Qemal" by the author Evarist Beqiri.

"Ismail Qemal faced almost insurmountable obstacles, but with his genius, he declared Independence without an army and without waging a war. It is our fortune to have precisely him as the founder of the Albanian state and the par excellence model from which we can learn and be inspired to overcome future challenges," says the author to the Albanian Diaspora, further explaining that leadership is a complex process, but fundamentally it has to do with the leader's ability to shape the thoughts and actions of those he leads. A leader is able to exert influence if he understands why the people he works with think, feel, and behave the way they do. Ismail Qemal had clear goals he wanted to achieve. He was capable of controlling, organizing, overseeing, and analyzing.

"Ismail Qemal Vlora was not a perfect leader, and furthermore, he did not lead perfect people. However, he loved his people unconditionally. He was always a staunch defender of the public interest, both during the period when he served as a high-ranking official of the Empire and when he served the Albanian state," writes the author.

Evarist Beqiri while promoting the book on Ismail Qemali

 Evarist Beqiri was born on September 25, 1982, in Vlora. In 2007, he graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Tirana, Faculty of Law. He pursued his Master's studies at the same university in 2011. In 2017, he obtained a doctoral degree from the University of Tirana, Faculty of Law. In 2010, he completed the School of Political Studies of the Council of Europe. For 15 years, he has served in the Albanian public administration in the field of national security. He has contributed as a lecturer in various national and international training programs on national security. Currently, he is an international consultant for UNODC and OSCE. Additionally, for years, Evarist Beqiri has been an external lecturer at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Law, teaching Constitutional Law, and at the University "Luarasi," Faculty of Economics, teaching Leadership. He has also published an original foreword in the translated book "The Leadership of John F. Kennedy" (2013). In 2022, he published the book "The Founder - The Leadership of Ismail Qemal." This publication has been recognized by the platform "Bukinist.al" and the blog "Leximtari" as the best book of 2022 in the non-fiction and study category. Simultaneously, the book "The Founder" has been nominated as a finalist for the "Lumo Skëndo" award.
