Taulant Balla is sworn in as Minister of Interior of Albania

 
 Taulant Balla was sworn in on Saturday as the new interior minister of the Rama government.

The swearing-in ceremony took place in the premises of the Presidency in the presence of President Bajram Begaj.


The Assembly approved on July 13, with 75 votes in favor, 16 against, 1 abstention, the appointment of Taulant Balla to the position left vacant by Bledi Çuçi after the dismissal of the latter on July 7 by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

The latter was fired after the serious incident that took place in Fushë Krujë and Borizane, where the relatives of former socialist MP Rrahman Rraja brutally raped two people who reported damage to their homes from a quarry in Borizane.
