Vucic while on TV Prva |
Serbia's President, Aleksandar Vucic, has accused the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, of aiming to expel Serbs from Kosovo. He stated that he expects Kurti to initiate an "additional offensive" against Serbs, paralleling the Ukrainian forces' counteroffensive against Russian forces in Ukraine.
"I expect a major offensive in Ukraine. I believe they have prepared dozens of brigades that will seriously breach the Russian lines, resulting in many casualties. The course of the war is expected to change. I anticipate this to start, and then we will witness an additional offensive by Kurti. That's why I'm urging Serbs to defend themselves. I fear that this terror will become even worse and more brutal," Vucic said in an interview with "TV Prva.", local media reports.
"Kurti lives to expel Serbs from their homes," Vucic emphasized.
"He wants to unify all Albanian territories," he added.
Vucic stated that Serbia will react to protect Serbs from Kurti's "persecution."
"I fear the completely irrational moves of Albin Kurti. I will do my best to prevent this from happening, but not at the expense of persecuting the Serbian people," he expressed.
The Serbian President accused the international factor of failing to react following the decision of the Government of Kosovo to declare two Serbian security structures in the northern part of Kosovo, "Civil Defense" and "Northern Brigade," as terrorist organizations. He said that Serbia would be "sanctioned immediately" if it declared the Regional Special Unit of the Kosovo Police (ROSU) and the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) as terrorist organizations.
Vucic referred to ROSU and KSF as "terrorist" and blamed the international factor, especially "the Germans and the Americans," for their existence.
"If we were to declare ROSU and KSF as terrorists, there would be immediate sanctions against Serbia. And they are terrorists. By what act do they have the right to exist? By what act are they being armed? 'According to our rights'! That's what the Germans and Americans tell me. This is the right of the strongest. What can they tell me when it is not written anywhere, not even in the charters? Where it is written about international acts. It's not written anywhere, but they can do it," he said.
