The owner of a business in Montenegro has expelled a family that had gone on vacation because their daughter was wearing a hijab.
Following this incident, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Montenegro, Filip Adzic, also reacted and blamed the owner of the business, Dragan Gj, for the event.
The latter has been summoned to the premises of the Security Department in Tivat for questioning. Adzic emphasized that the police response was swift, adding that he expects a response from the prosecutor's office.
The family had gone to the beach to enjoy the sun and sea. However, the situation became unpleasant when the beach owner intervened and reacted strongly to the hijab-wearing.
"At the 'Rocky Beach' pool in Utjeha beach, swimming with clothes is not allowed, and this is marked on the board in front of the pool. They can swim with burkinis, with hijabs in the sea, as they do, but not in the pool," said the beach owner, Dragan Gj.
