The surge in vacation packages didn't deter Albanian citizens from seeking summer experiences abroad.

"Albanians favored Turkey and Dubai, but this year, due to soaring temperatures in August and price hikes, particularly in Bodrum and Antalya, there was a substantial 40% price increase in September and October," according to Melisa Hajdini, a tour operator.

Unlike previous years, travel agencies noticed that families had to make certain compromises in their summer holiday plans, local media say.

"Families that usually opted for luxury resorts this year opted for mid-range ones. Regular families went for budget resorts, which offered reasonable rates and decent facilities. Prices ranged from 800 euros per couple, with the most expensive options reaching up to 20,000 euros per couple, primarily in the Bodrum area. Dubai provided packages starting at 400 euros per person for 5-6 days, offering affordable options," explained Melisa Hajdini, the tour operator.

Fluctuations in the exchange rate and the decline of the euro influenced holiday travel to Greece. Young individuals particularly sought these options, as the journey was made by bus rather than plane.
