Nikolle Camaj in a media release (archive) |
Podgorica Deputy, Nikolle Camaj, has spoken about consultations for the new government of Montenegro. In a Skype connection with "Balkan Update," he highlighted the issue of Albanians, who are part of Jakov Milatović's government.
According to Camaj, Albanians will be part of the government if the 10 principles set by the political entities of Montenegro are accepted, local media
say.
He stated that the conditions they have set include: respecting those principles related to Montenegro's path to Europe, relations with NATO, relations with neighbors, including the issue of Kosovo recognition not being questioned, and the affirmation of minorities.
"Albanians will be part of the government if the 10 principles, which the majority of political entities in Montenegro might have accepted, are also approved. These 10 principles are part of the upcoming program and the new structure, and of course, Albanians will be part of it. The conditions we have set are the respect for those principles related to Montenegro's journey to Europe, relations with NATO, relations with neighbors, including the issue of Kosovo recognition not being questioned, and the affirmation of minorities. All these informal and formal discussions we've had so far have been acceptable for the political entities. If these remain the same, the others are quite easy. Of course, we are ready to take responsibility and have ministerial positions. But if there are deviations from these principles, the Albanian forum is ready to act," Camaj expressed.
