Vlora is hosting the Balkan Billiards Championship. Around 34 athletes from Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia are part of this event, which returns to Vlora after two years.
The arena built along the promenade is also considered a promotion for the city. For the organizers, the goal is for this championship to become a tradition for Vlora.
Edmond Loku, the head of the Billiards and Snooker Federation, values the development of this activity in Vlora with the participation of well-known billiards figures. The championship will conclude on Sunday evening with the winners, and this year there will also be financial prizes.
"This is a grand activity carried out by the Albanian Billiards and Snooker Federation. It's with great pleasure that I declare here that this beautiful event serves our tourist city very well, but also contributes to the expansion of the beautiful sport of billiards," emphasized Ronald Panazaqi.
