Croatian police are looking for 10 Burundian nationals who came to the World Cadet Handball Championship, then disappeared.

The police received a notification that citizens of Burundi, participating in the world championship of handball for young people, are missing in Rijeka, which is being held from August 2 to 13 in several cities, including in Rijeka, Euronews reports.

According to the information so far, it is about ten younger men (born in 2006), who are about 17 years old.

On Wednesday afternoon, they left in an unknown direction from the student center of Rijeka, where they took shelter during the championship and did not answer the phone calls.

"Measures and actions are being taken to find the missing persons, as well as to establish all relevant facts and circumstances of their disappearance", announced the Primorje-Gorski Kotar Police Directorate.

Considering Albania and the opportunities it offers, athletes may have moved to Albania for various reasons.
