Albanian weightlifter, Ertjan Kofsha, has been declared the European champion in the U20 and U23 Championships held in Bucharest, Romania. He competed in the weight category up to 89 kg, lifting 153 kg and winning the gold medal.

Support has also come from the socialist politician, Damian Gjiknuri, who congratulated the young man from Cërrik for another fantastic result in the European weightlifting championship. He also credited the coach, Leonard Toska, who has been training and nurturing talents in this discipline over the years.

"Congratulations to the young man from Cërrik, Ertjan Kofsha, who achieved another fantastic result this time in the European weightlifting championship held in Bucharest, Romania, securing a gold medal in the snatch and a bronze medal in the clean and jerk in two competitions.


Ertjan Kofsha also managed to lift 184 kg in the clean and jerk, earning him the bronze medal. He finished the competition with a total of 337 kg lifted, earning another bronze medal in the two-lift event. An outstanding success for the Albanian athlete who won 3 medals in the European Weightlifting Championship for young athletes.
