The leadership of the Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MKO) terrorist organization is arranging the relocation of its members from Albania to Canada.
Reports from Iranian media suggest that the leaders of MKO are planning to move their headquarters to Canada due to intense pressure from the Albanian government. This decision follows the failure of their negotiations with the French government in Paris to relocate to France.
A reliable security source informed Tasnim that the MKO terrorists have devised a plan to move their operations after the Albanian government, along with its anti-terrorism court, imposed restrictions on the group. This action came after incriminating evidence was uncovered at their Ashraf-3 camp near Manze, a small town located 30 kilometers west of Albania's capital, Tirana.
The source stated, "The leaders of MKO are making preparations for a gradual withdrawal of their members from Albania."
Additionally, the source indicated that the MKO militants were unable to secure approval from the French authorities to transfer some of their members to a camp in Auvers-sur-Oise, situated on the outskirts of Paris.
The MKO terrorists have reportedly been lobbying the Canadian government, and initial arrangements have been made to relocate these elements to Canada. Temporary Canadian passports or temporary residence permits would be employed for this purpose.
This decision is said to have arisen as the MKO realized that their circumstances in Albania mirror what they previously experienced in Iraq.
Notably, the Albanian government recently prohibited Maryam Rajavi, the head of the MKO terrorist group, from entering the country. This measure was taken after Albania's anti-terrorism court examined evidence implicating the group in directing terrorist activities within Iran.
Rajavi had left Albania for France at the close of June. Albanian law enforcement had conducted a raid on the camp where MKO was located, prompted by her involvement in "terror and cyber attacks" targeting foreign institutions.
