Two Albanians, aged 24 and 29, have been arrested in Italy for cocaine trafficking in the village of Limito. Italian media reports indicate that the arrested individuals, Damiano Maiolo and Tritan Leika, were part of the criminal network "Ndrangheta."

Leika is said to have had an outstanding sentence of 10 months and 28 days for drug trafficking. The police searched their homes with drug-sniffing dogs, where they found 10,500 euros in cash and 130 grams of cocaine packaged in ready-to-sell doses. Tools for preparing cocaine doses and stolen objects were also found in their homes.

This investigation began before December 2022 and led to the arrest of dozens of individuals linked to this criminal network. Another individual linked to the Cosa Nostra from Enna was also arrested, and an attempt by the gang to influence local elections was uncovered, fortunately without success..
