It's the moment for Albanians in football, and this is noticeable in the interest shown by Albanian talents to join the national team, the red and black, in recent times.
Talents from Kosovo, Ilirida, the Highlands, Chameria, and the Diaspora have always worn the red and black jersey, acquiring Albanian citizenship even if they have played for other national teams before.
But now, talents will find it easier to obtain citizenship. Through an official announcement on his page, Prime Minister Edi Rama informs that football players can now obtain Albanian passports even before turning 18 years old.
With the approved changes in the "Citizenship Law" by the Albanian Parliament, upon the government's proposal, the opportunity is created for sports talents born and residing outside Albania to obtain Albanian citizenship even before they reach the age of 18.
