Albanian-origin prisoner Roland Dedja, convicted of drug trafficking in Italy, has escaped from the Teramo prison during the night.

The Italian media describe the escape of the 40-year-old Albanian as "worthy of a movie." According to Italian reports, he received help from outside using a drone. Regarding the escape scenario, it is reported that the inmate cut through the window bars and lowered himself down using a rope.

"It is suspected that the prisoner escaped with the help of a drone from outside, which provided him with the necessary means to get out of Teramo prison. The incident occurred in the early hours of this morning. Currently, all prison camera recordings are being examined to understand the exact dynamics of the escape carried out by the Albanian inmate," the police announced.

This is not the first time that the 40-year-old has escaped; he escaped from the Pisa prison in 2010 along with another Albanian. He is also accused of a robbery that occurred after his escape in 2010. There are strong suspicions that he may have left Italian territory.

Dedja is accused of the murder of Albanian national Shpëtim Cupa in Brescia, Italy, and it is known that he had previously lived in Spain and France.
