All of Albanians mourns the sad news of the passing of the honorable At Artur Liolin. A man of God and an enlightened mind, a dedicated student of the work of the founder of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania and patriot, Fan Noli.
Father Artur Liolin was a brilliant intellectual and scholar who left behind studies and writings on the history of Albanian orthodoxy as well as our national revivalists. He is also the founder of the Fan Noli Library in Boston.
At Artur Liolin, originally from the village of Boboshticë in Korçë, served with dedication in the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of America for nearly 50 years, where he received the title of Chancellor of the Archdiocese of the Albanian Orthodox Church in the USA. He offered warm shelter to every Albanian immigrant without any religious distinction, and he never stopped contributing diplomatically to the Albanian national cause throughout his life.
At Artur Liolin contributed to the revival of the Autocephalous Albanian Church after the period of communism's fall and provided various church services throughout Albania.
