 The Ministry of Internal Affairs has responded to the news that 6 Albanian nationals lost their lives in Greece in a shooting incident. According to the ministry, the victims held Turkish citizenship.

"The Office of the Minister of Internal Affairs has been closely monitoring the incident in Greece from the very beginning, and based on preliminary information from Greek authorities, we have been informed that the victims held Turkish citizenship with identity cards from an EU country," stated the Ministry of Internal Affairs, local media say.

Greece was shaken by a serious incident on Monday afternoon when it was reported that there were 6 casualties from a shooting incident. It is suspected that the incident may have occurred due to a financial dispute among criminal groups. According to initial reports from the Greek media, it was suspected that the victims were Albanian nationals.

Five of the victims were found inside a vehicle with German license plates, while one was found outside the vehicle. The latter is suspected to have been the driver of the vehicle, who attempted to flee at the moment of the shooting but was unsuccessful.
