Albania has achieved another success by winning a gold medal at the Gymnastics World Championships held in Hungary.
Russian gymnast with Albanian citizenship, Matvei Petrov, managed to triumph in the parallel bars discipline.
The 33-year-old gathered more points than his competitors, leaving behind two contenders from Ukraine and the Czech Republic. This is not the first time Petrov has secured the first-place position, and he has brought several other medals to Albania. It's worth noting that he has been competing under the Albanian flag since 2018.
