During his visit to Italy, Prime Minister Edi Rama met with his counterpart Giorgia Meloni in Rome, where he was received with a state ceremony at the Chigi Palace.

Following their tête-à-tête meeting, the two leaders held a joint meeting with their respective delegations, once again reaffirming the traditional friendship between Albania and Italy and their willingness to further strengthen it.

"The further strengthening of relations in the economic field was another extensively discussed topic during the meeting, where Italy, as a strategic partner of Albania, plays a crucial role, including through the ever-increasing presence of Italian businesses in our country.

Moreover, during the meeting, they discussed the investment opportunities that Albania offers in various potential sectors, such as energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and especially tourism, which this year marked a true growth record, becoming one of the most attractive fields for investments," according to the Prime Minister's office.

Among other things, Prime Minister Meloni emphasized that Italy will continue to strongly support Albania's integration process at all its stages.
