The villages located in the common border area between the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo will be connected through the construction of several roads.

Hysen Durmishi, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning, and Infrastructure (MESP&I), has announced that some remote villages in the border region between Kosovo and Albania will be connected to each other, Kosovo media reports.

Durmishi, through a post on the social network Facebook, wrote that today they have signed the protocol for the implementation of the agreement for the construction of inter border village roads that connect the villages between Kosovo and Albania.

"Through this agreement, in addition to getting closer to each other economically, we will jointly contribute to the assessment and improvement of interborder village roads that connect the border areas of Albania and Kosovo," Durmishi said.

These villages include Zapod-Kërstec, Pogaj-Gorozhup, and Dobrunë-Blinishtë.

"The common area between the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosovo, which will be covered by this development program, consists of the municipalities of Has and Kukës in the Republic of Albania, as well as the municipalities of Prizren and Dragash in the Republic of Kosovo. These villages are Zapod-Kërstec, Pogaj-Gorozhup, and Dobrunë-Blinishtë.".
