At the monastery at the time of the attack |
Analyst Fatmir Sheholli spoke to the media about the tense situation in Kosovo, where one policeman was killed and two others were injured.
In an interview with Euronews Albania, he emphasized that the attack that occurred in the North had been prepared in advance. He also added that the individuals inside the Monastery are speaking Russian.
Furthermore, he pointed out that there is information indicating that 200 people are being trained in Serbia, and according to him, they may be for the purpose of destabilizing the situation in Kosovo.
"These people have entered the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, and we, in coordination with KFOR and the international factors in Kosovo, need to carry out this operation as effectively as possible with minimal consequences. It is not known if there are other organizations that may, under certain circumstances, become active. These are terrorists, and there's nothing to negotiate with them. Serbia will come out publicly and say things that we are used to hearing.
