Interior Minister Filip Axić revealed that "there is a certain connection between this criminal organization and a person at the Supreme Court."

On September 11, the police in Montenegro discovered an underground tunnel connecting an apartment to a warehouse near the courthouse, where confiscated narcotics and other evidence of crimes were stored.

Images published by Montenegro's state television show a large hole in the wall of the courthouse's warehouse where trial evidence was stored.

According to state authorities, over the past nearly three years, the Supreme Court's warehouse in Podgorica has held approximately 9.5 tons of various types of drugs, including about two tons of cocaine and around seven tons of marijuana.

The entrance to the tunnel inside the courthouse was found in a "well-hidden" location within the warehouse, said the court's president, Boris Savić, adding that "the perpetrators dug into the building's foundations for months to gain entry."
