"Albania at war against Serbia inevitable if Kosovo is attacked"

 The former Minister of Defense, Sandër Lleshaj, expressed concerns regarding the situation between Kosovo and Serbia, particularly highlighting the risky presence of Serbian troops in the northern region.

During a discussion with Euronews Albania, Lleshaj emphasized that if Serbia were to intervene and engage in military actions in Kosovo, it would inevitably draw Albania into the conflict.

"Recently, we've observed the concentration of troops near the border, which is both unacceptable and perilous. The fact that the US and other countries have expressed concern should alarm us even more. However, it's not solely about troop concentration on the border; there are various other matters that have been designated for consideration at the appropriate time. It's wiser to be vigilant at the right moment than to act too late when troops have already entered Kosovo's territory.

Furthermore, hypothetically speaking, if Serbia were to become militarily engaged in Kosovo, Albania would be automatically drawn into the conflict due to the close ties between our nations. Therefore, I emphasize that if Kosovo were to face an invasion, Albania would inevitably find itself at war. We would be automatically involved in this conflict," stated Lleshaj.
