British MP Alicia Kearns is in Kosovo on an official visit, where she had a meeting with President Vjosa Osmani on Saturday morning.

In the afternoon, she personally went to see the confiscated weaponry by the Kosovo Police following the attack in Banjskë.

The news was made public by Kosovo's Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, through a Facebook post.

Sveçla expressed gratitude to the British legislator for her role in denouncing the actions of the Serbian state and for standing on the side of truth.

"I had the pleasure to welcome the honorable MP and Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the British Parliament, Alicia Kearns, together with the Kosovo Police. Along with Mrs. Kearns, we visited and observed up close the weaponry confiscated after the terrorist act of attempted annexation of the north of the Republic of Kosovo. On this occasion, we also thanked for the international awareness that Mrs. Kearns had raised regarding the declaration that religious objects and ambulances in the north of the Republic of Kosovo were being used for the transport and sheltering of weaponry by criminal structures.

During this visit, Mrs. Kearns had the opportunity to meet with police officials with whom she had the chance to discuss the challenges but also the opportunities to contribute to the fight against crime and the increase of security for all citizens without distinction.

Few have held such a strong and righteous stance in these times as Alicia Kearns, and therefore we are grateful for her role in defending justice and truth," Sveçla wrote in his statement.
