Two Belgian tourists had a harrowing experience while exploring the stunning Gjipe Canyon, located near Dhërmi in Albania. They found themselves trapped in the challenging terrain, leading to a lengthy search and rescue operation that concluded successfully after five hours. Fortunately, both tourists were found to be in good health.
The Vlorë Police Department was alerted to the tourists' predicament when they received a distress call in the evening. The call indicated that the two Belgian tourists while exploring the picturesque Gjipe Canyon near Himare, had encountered a situation where they couldn't navigate the tough landscape and needed assistance to exit the canyon safely.

Responding promptly to the call, the local police and fire services were dispatched to the scene to initiate a rescue operation. The search and rescue team faced the challenging task of locating the trapped tourists within the rugged and dangerous terrain.
After hours of diligent search efforts, the search and rescue team was ultimately successful in locating and extracting the two Belgian tourists from the canyon. Importantly, both tourists were found to be in good health, and the operation concluded on a positive note.
