Former President of Albania, Ilir Meta, and his wife, Monika Kryemadhi, are expected to be summoned by Albania's Special Prosecution Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).

According to Albanian tabloid journalist Anila Hoxha, the United States and Cyprus have sent letters regarding the lobbying issue. Immediately following the receipt and review of these materials, SPAK will call in the former President.

"By December, we will have substantial information. The United States has responded to the issue of lobbying, for which former President Ilir Meta is under investigation. Cyprus has also responded to this issue, but SPAK has requested additional answers regarding the attorney mediating this matter.

A Greek citizen, a well-known name, is expected to receive a summons in connection with this issue. Letters are also awaited concerning Mrs. Monika Kryemadhi. For one of the cases, for which there is complete information, SPAK informed me in the summer that Ilir Meta would be questioned immediately after reviewing these letters. This is the strategy employed by SPAK: The individuals under investigation will be questioned once additional information obtained from the seized documents is reviewed," said Anila Hoxha to Breaking on Top News.

According to various reports and rumors, in our case we are referring to the Voice of America in Albanian, Ilir Meta and his wife Monika Kryemadhi have been among the most corrupt politicians in Albania in recent years, amassing a substantial fortune at the expense of the Albanian people.
