Jasir Asani is undoubtedly the man of the moment in the Albanian National Team. The forward from Skopje has been decisive for the national team, as his goals and assists have helped the team to be just one point away from the European Championship. Invited to "Let Me Speak" on "Top Channel," Asani has revealed more about his choice to wear the red and black jersey. He stated that at the moment when the Albanian Football Federation contacted him for the first time, he immediately said "yes."

"When I was 17 years old, I was with the North Macedonian National Team in Antalya. They called me from the Albanian National Team and said, 'We like you as a player and want to see you up close.' At that moment, I said 'yes.' Then I called my father and told him, 'Dad, my dream has come true. I will play for the Albanian National Team.' I waited 7 years to play for the National Team. They also asked me to play for North Macedonia because the coach was the one who trained me at Vardar. He knew me. But I told them, 'We are Albanians.' I was born in Macedonia, but I am Albanian. We have only one National Team, we have no other," said Jasir Asani to local media.
