Two boys from the ranks of the Albanian diaspora have lost their lives in the war in Ukraine. They were soldiers in the Ukrainian army, who fought and gave their lives in the line of duty.
Dermentli Anatoly was from the Albanian village of Karakurt (in the Odessa region). He was born on September 3, 1980. He was mobilized in the 118th Mechanized Brigade in the Zaporozhia region. On October 15, he lost his life in a combat mission.

Haydarzhy Danylo was born into an Albanian family on January 26, 2002, in the village of Georgivka (Zaporozhia region). He was the second child in his family, which currently still lives in the area occupied by Russian troops. When the war began, he was in Poland. In the summer of 2022, he volunteered to be mobilized but was refused (due to his age). In 2023, after his 21st birthday, he applied again and served voluntarily in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in Unit A290 and lost his life in the combat zone in the village of Liman, near the city of Kupiansk, in the Kharkiv region, Pandeli Majko reports on a Facebook post.
