Albania officially starts preparations for the two qualifying matches for EURO 2024, against Moldova and the Faroe Islands

 
 The Albanian national team officially started preparations today for the two 'final' matches against Moldova on November 17 and the Faroe Islands on November 20. The Red and Blacks conducted their first training session this afternoon at the 'Football House' facilities. Initially, they worked in the gym and later moved to the field, where they held their first official training.

The Communication Department at the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) announced that in this first session, under the guidance of coach Silvinho, 8 players out of the 18 who have already joined the gathering participated. The remaining players were given a break by the coach due to their commitments with their respective clubs in Europe yesterday. In collaboration with the national U-21 team, the players had a joint training session.


Meanwhile, Kristjan Asllani underwent medical checks today and has been confirmed to be in good physical condition. However, the player underwent different exercises, and he is expected to join the team tomorrow.

Mario Mitaj, Etrit Berisha, Elhan Kastrati, Mirlind Daku, and, finally, Jon Mersinaj will join the team during the evening, with the players who will regularly participate in the next training session scheduled for tomorrow.

The national team will stay in Tirana until Thursday morning before heading to Moldova, where they will also have their final training session in the afternoon.

The Moldova vs. Albania match will be played at the 'Zimbru' stadium in Chisinau, Moldova, starting at 18:00. Later, the team will travel to Tirana, where on November 20, they will face the Faroe Islands at 20:45 at the 'Air Albania' stadium.
