Albanian athlete Gentiana Beqa, the wife and mother of three children, has won the highest honor in the Women's Wellness category at the International Bodybuilding Championship held in Spain. The championship was a significant achievement for Beqa, who has already won gold at the Arnold Classic and European titles.

Beqa, who runs a gym in the capital of Kosovo, Pristina, alongside her husband Dreni, was named the overall world champion in the women's wellness fitness category. She had already won gold in her up to 163 centimeters category.

Speaking to insidethegames, Beqa said, "I was confident in my abilities, but the world is a big place with many bigger nations. I feel very proud for what I have been able to do here for my country."

The International Federation of Fitness and Bodybuilding (IFBB) President, Rafael Santonja, commented on the event, "We have had a highly successful first day of our World Fitness Championships."

Russia dominated the opening day of the championship, with many of the women's categories being won by Russian athletes. However, Beqa's victory in the women's wellness category was a significant achievement for Albania.

The championship saw many successful performances, with Russia's Svetlana Fiskova declared the overall women's bodyfitness champion, having won gold in the up to 163cm category.

Despite her numerous achievements, Beqa expressed her humility and dedication to her sport. She said, "I was confident in my abilities, but the world is a big place with many bigger nations. I feel very proud for what I have been able to do here for my country."

This victory is a significant milestone for Beqa and a great achievement for Albania. It shows the potential of Albanian athletes and the country's growing interest in fitness and bodybuilding.
