A 29-year-old Albanian was found dead in Greece, where his body was discovered hanging at a height of 3-4 meters with hands tied in chains.
The news was reported by Greek media, according to which, Angelo Avdiu had been missing for several days, since the morning of October 29.
It is also reported that the last time he had visited his relatives in the Bartolomeo area.
According to information from the "Patris" newspaper, the body was found hanging from a tree in a village house in the Diaspora area in Kyllini. His clothes and personal items seem to have confirmed his identity when his relatives were called by the authorities for identification.
According to the same source, another element that identified the 29-year-old Albanian was his prosthetic, which was recognized by his mother called in at this difficult moment. The fact that the man's body was found at a height of about three to four meters with hands tied in chains makes experienced officers of the Greek Police not rule out the possibility of criminal activity.
After visual identification by his relatives, DNA comparison with the sample of his close relatives has been ordered at the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Hellenic Police Headquarters to officially confirm the identity of the body.
The brother of the 29-year-old told the "Patris" newspaper that he and his whole family are devastated, and in the coming days, a biological sample is expected to be taken from the mother of the 29-year-old for identification through DNA.
Meanwhile, authorities, carefully examining all existing evidence so far, have collected fingerprints both from the noose that wrapped the young man's hands and from the ladder that was found very close to where the corpse was hanged.
