The agreement between Albania and Italy regarding the sheltering of undocumented immigrants caused quite a stir both within and outside the country.
However, it seems that this was not the only topic of discussion between Prime Minister Edi Rama and his counterpart Giorgia Meloni.
According to the leader of the Albanian Christian Democratic Party, Nard Ndoka, Edi Rama asked Meloni to declare Sali Berisha as "persona non grata" in Italy.
Invited to one of the local media outlets, Nard Doka stated that Rama's request was opposed by Meloni, but, as he expressed, the head of the government has attempted other methods as well.
But why would Edi Rama ask Italy to put Berisha on the "blacklist"? Nard Ndoka says that the chief socialist fears his political opponent because citizens can very well compare the two models of governance.
