Wizz Air, the Hungarian airline, has recently made the decision to discontinue two more routes from Tirana to EU countries. The company appears to be scaling back its operations from Albania.

One of the routes that are no longer operational is the Tirana-Thessaloniki-Tirana line, which was launched just a few months ago in August. This discontinuation may come as a disappointment to travelers who were hoping to take advantage of the route for their trips.

Additionally, the Tirana to Sofia route, connecting Albania and Bulgaria, has also been canceled. It appears that this route was never actually launched, leaving prospective travelers from both countries without this convenient option.

This news follows the previous discontinuation of the Tirana to Chania, Greece (Crete) route. Furthermore, Wizz Air has ceased its services to and from Malta, and the option of flying to and from Palermo has also been closed off.

Frustration among Albanian citizens is growing due to the company's decision to continually withdraw destinations. Many have expressed their dissatisfaction on social media platforms and in conversations with each other. Complaints include numerous delays, low-quality service in some cases, a lack of professionalism in the behavior of flight attendants, and what some view as unreasonably high prices for specific destinations.

Wizz Air, known as a low-cost airline, has been criticized for its pricing strategies, which have been perceived by some as surprisingly high for a budget carrier. Additionally, the requirement to purchase seats and basic amenities, such as water, has left some passengers unhappy.

The discontinuation of these routes raises concerns among travelers about the future of air travel options to and from Albania. While many remain hopeful for improved air travel services, the recent changes have created uncertainty and frustration within the Albanian community.

We must point out that Ryanair, one of the most powerful low-cost companies in the world, has entered the Albanian market since November, and of course, this has influenced Wizzair's decisions.
